Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Club Manager in daily operations, ensure high-quality customer service, and help lead the team to success. Your responsibilities will include member engagement, staff supervision, facility upkeep, and assisting with sales and promotions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development:
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing staff to provide top-tier customer service.
• Lead by example to foster a positive and motivated work environment.
• Step in as acting manager when needed.
Member Experience & Customer Service:
• Ensure every member and guest has a welcoming, friendly, and positive experience.
• Handle member inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility that aligns with Planet Fitness standards.
Operations & Sales:
• Assist in managing club operations, including opening/closing procedures and daily maintenance.
• Support membership sales, promotions, and retention efforts.
• Monitor and maintain club inventory, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred (fitness, retail, hospitality, or customer service industries).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, scheduling systems).
• A passion for fitness and creating a positive environment for others.
